London Borough of Lambeth has published the Cooling Fiveways case study, examining how extreme heat is affecting communities in and around Loughborough Junction. The research highlights that social infrastructure is vital climate infrastructure, with community organisations and trusted local networks playing a key role in protecting residents during heatwaves. Findings show that adaptation cannot rely on individual behaviour alone and long-term resilience requires coordinated action across sectors. Alongside the study, Lambeth has released a narrative report capturing residents’ lived experiences and insights.
