European State of the Climate 2025 The World Meteorological Organisation have published the European State of the Climate 2025. The report shows that Europe remains the fastest‑warming continent, with 2025 marked by widespread record temperatures. The report brings together the latest climate evidence to highlight impacts on ecosystems, infrastructure and societies, and underscores the growing importance of adaptation and resilience alongside efforts to reduce emissions and protect biodiversity.
Nature-based flood and drought resilience – POST The Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology (POST) has published a new briefing exploring current evidence and policy considerations on a key emerging issue affecting the UK.POST notes provide impartial, evidence-based summaries for MPs and Peers, bringing together research to inform debate and decision-making in Parliament. They are widely used to understand complex issues across areas such as climate, energy, health, and infrastructure. This latest briefing highlights current knowledge, uncertainties, and policy implications, helping to support more informed discussion on how the UK can respond effectively to the issue. |

The Net Zero Debate: bin it or back it? | Spectator Events Join The Spectator on the 20th May for a debate on Net Zero, which will see Richard Tice MP and energy expert Kathryn Porter go up against Bob Ward, Chair of the LCRP and Chair of the influential Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment and Shahrar Ali, former deputy leader of the Green party.
Quick Fire Talks: Adapting to a Changing Climate – MACC Hub The Lambeth Climate Ready Partnership are hosting a Quick-Fire Talk on Adapting to a Changing Climate on the 21st of May. This event brings together businesses and practitioners from across Lambeth to explore how the borough is responding to the challenges of climate change. With a focus on flooding, heat risks, resilient communities, and equity, the evening will highlight what climate adaptation looks like in practice at a local level.
The MACC Hub are hosting a joint webinar with the climate Change Committee on the 21st of May to explore key findings from the Well-Adapted UK report. The session will present the latest evidence from the Fourth Climate Change Risk Assessment (CCRA4) on how climate change is already affecting the UK and the risks expected in the coming decades.
Britain Talks Climate & Nature: Workshop for Individuals (21 May) & Britain Talks Climate & Nature: Workshop for Individuals (7 July) Climate Outreach are hosting two interactive workshops designed for individuals who want to improve how they communicate about climate change and nature. The session focuses on practical tools and evidence-based insights to help participants connect with different audiences, build confidence in climate conversations and apply effective storytelling and messaging in their own work or advocacy.
A special community screening: The People’s Emergency Briefing | Institute of Commonwealth Studies The Institute of Commonwealth Studies, School of Advanced Study, with support from the University of London Sustainability Team are screening the People’s Emergency Briefing. The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing (NEB) in Westminster and includes appearances from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, and voices from across the UK.
Aligning the nature and climate agendas Tickets, Tuesday 9 June • 18 – 19:30 | Eventbrite The Zoological Society of London (ZSL) is hosting an event on Tuesday 9 June (18:00–19:30) to mark the launch of a new ZSL report examining the risks of keeping climate and nature agendas siloed. The report argues that separating policies on climate change, biodiversity loss and land and marine degradation can undermine progress, create policy gaps and lead to inefficient or counter‑productive outcomes.
This public event on the 10th June will feature David Shukman, former BBC Science Editor, and Emma Howard Boyd, Chair of the independent National Heat Risk Commission, discussing how the UK is responding to the growing impacts of climate change. David Shukman will draw on insights from his new book, The Response: A Story of Fire and Flood in Britain’s New World of Extremes, which explores how dangerously unprepared the country is for climate impacts already being felt, as well as those yet to come. Climate and the Future of Health 2026 | Climate & Health Conference London The Conduit is hosting ‘Climate and the Future of Health 2026’ on the 22nd of June during London Climate Action Week. This conference will unite health, policy, finance and innovation professionals focusing on practical models of prevention and resilience.
Climate Innovation Forum 2026 | London Climate Action Week The Climate Innovation Forum is a one-day event on the 22nd of June. This event connects influential leaders from business, policy and finance to form momentum towards a net zero and climate resilient future, exploring how climate‑resilient health systems can be designed and delivered in practice.
Reset Connect London 2026 | Events & Exhibitions| Excel London Reset Connect is a two-day event over 23rd and 24th June convening sustainability professionals, corporate leaders, policymakers, investors, innovators, and purpose-driven businesses to drive solutions to today’s climate and resource challenges.
Home | London Climate Resilience Finance Summit The London Climate Resilience Finance Summit is a one-day summit on the 25th of June. It brings together senior leaders from government, finance, business and civil society to focus on how to scale investment in climate resilience. The event will explore how to unlock finance for climate adaptation and resilience, from local communities to global systems, and how to better direct investment towards those most affected by climate impacts.
