The guidance has been produced by City Science, and was produced through engagement with Londoners. The document provides the London boroughs with recommendations about how to adapt and enhance existing climate change focused policies and practices in order to deliver equitable solutions that benefit all of London’s diverse communities. |

📅 EventsLondon Climate Action Week – 21st-29th June London Climate Action Week is taking place between the 21st – 29th June. There are a multitude of events taking place across the week. Designing Change: Building the UK’s Transformational Adaptation website together – MACC Hub – 23rd June This is a co design workshop to help design an adaptation portal for stakeholders. This event will be held online and in person at Kings College London. Reset Connect London – 24th-25th June Reset Connect London will be hosting an event at Excel London during London Climate Action Week. A range of sustainability professionals will be representing sectors such as energy, finance, and the government. Cities Climate Action Summit – 24th-25th June SmartCitiesWorld just announced a full programme of executive-level roundtables and hands-on workshops, running alongside inspiring keynotes, panel discussions, and solution-focused presentations. These sessions will convene leaders from local, regional, and national governments to exchange breakthrough ideas and practical strategies for accelerating climate action at the city and regional level.
The London Surface Water Strategy – Increasing Resilience Through Collective Action – 25th June, 2-3pm online Please join us for a webinar during London Climate Action Week, providing insight into the London Surface Water Strategy following publication on 14 May 2025. The London Surface Water Flooding Strategy Vision is of a London that has increased resilience to surface water flooding through collective action that benefits people, places and the environment. London-Nicosia: A Tale of Two Cities Tickets – 25th June This event will be held in person at Arcadis, 80 Fenchurch Street. This event will explore how the two cities of London and Nicosia are facing climate change. The talk will be divided into two panels on Blue-Green Spaces in Urban Environments and Managing Extreme Heat Resilience and Drought. UK Climate Resilience Roadmap – in-person or online – 26th June at 3:30pm As part of London Climate Action week, this launch event will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, and built environment professionals to formally launch the Roadmap, and to celebrate this industry-changing document. During the afternoon, we’ll explore the Roadmap’s key findings, strategic priorities, and implications for the sector. Attendees will gain insight into the pressing adaptation challenges facing the UK, and hear from experts on how we can collectively mobilise to embed resilience at every scale – from individual buildings to national policy. Climate Innovation Forum – 25th-26th June The Climate Innovation Forum will host over 2000 business leaders, policy makers, investors, and civil society to discuss how London can deliver on innovative climate solutions. MACC Hub Flexible Fund Virtual Sandpit – 8th July This webinar will introduce a funding pot for small transformational adaptation projects. The MACC Hub Flexible Fund call will fund up to 10 projects, each receiving £50-55,000 for up to 12 months. Join this sandpit to learn more about the fund; share and explore project ideas; and connect with potential collaborators. The Flooding Resilience Conference 2025 – 25th September This conference will be held online to discuss the latest updates on government policy to improve national flood resilience. There will be an opportunity to network with a range of speakers from across the public sector and to gain tools and strategies to improve partnership working. This is a biennial conference that collects perspectives from the world’s leading authorities on building resilience and adapting to climate change. |
