Resilient Businesses

Business is the lifeblood of London’s economy, which is why it is so important that it can survive and respond to whatever the weather might throw at it. LCCP’s Resilient Business programme looks at how business communities and individual businesses can use adaptation measures to improve their resilience to extreme weather and climate change.

LCCP has worked with Victoria BID to analyse the vulnerabilities around Victoria, and the potential for greening measures to improve resilience. Find out more about this project here.

In addition to infrastructure features, LCCP recognises that individual businesses can take steps to improve their resilience, strengthen the local community and take advantage of opportunities that climate change presents. We have been working with business representative groups to raise awareness of climate change adaptation and provide support and advice ranging from saving water to insuring your property against flood. As part of this project, LCCP is developing a business resilience network in London – to register your interest in this, please contact us.
